Golf
A top course by Lake Forsbackasjön
Next to Forsbacka Herrgård & Hotel is Forsbacka Golf Club, one of Dalsland's most appreciated golf facilities. The scenic 18-hole course, designed by Nils Sköld, winds through beautiful park and forest areas around Lake Forsbackasjön and offers a playing experience for both seasoned golfers and beginners.

The History of Forsbacka Manor
Since the 17th century
In the late 17th century, an ironworks was established here, thanks to the good availability of water and forest. This house served as an office and residence for the chief ranger and his family – hence the name Jägmästarflygeln. In 1716, Prince Fredrik of Hessen also made a stop at Forsbacka after being wounded in battle; a few years later, he became the king of Sweden after Charles XII.
In the autumn of 2025, we took over the hotel and restaurant after a careful renovation that restored the manor's former glory. Forsbacka has become like our second home, and we hope you enjoy it just as much as we do.
